On September 7th, 2022 William Burnett embarked on an incredible Journey to run across the Australian Continent. A journey that would forever change his life. On this 81-day odyssey, Will ran 81 consecutive ultra marathons from Margaret River, Western Australia, to Byron Bay, New South Wales to raise awareness for mental health issues and suicide. The film tells Will's story pre-run and accompanies his family and small crew on their adventure across the continent. "Eutierria" is a self-funded Film about friendship and connection. A reminder that we are part of an ocean of possibilities if we stay connected to people that dare to breathe through experiences together with an open mind and care. The film is about unity in nature in times of uncertainty. A project that helped a group of friends to stay connected to their physical reality, moving beyond the boundaries of mental restrictions in a society suffering desease and pain. It portraits, how these friends found a sense of completion by overcoming a collective fear in times of a worldwide pandemic. "Eutierria" shows the joy of experiencing the seasons. The film gives an insight into the power of the mind and illustrates how friendship enables the human brain and body to be safe in relationships while relating to nature. We invite you to participate in the peace and joy that we experienced during the darkest and loneliest of times: the Corona-Crisis 2020/21, one of the coldest winters since 2012. This is William's story. William connected to me online after watching Eutierria and we realised pretty quickly, how good we get along with each other. Now a couple of months later... I am in Australia to finish my scientific studies in Marine Biology, seeing it as another stepping stone on my journey to wildlife filmmaking. William has a goal. And it has a name: Project Light. He will be running straight through Australia in September this year, an unbelievably tough thing to do. He will be running a marathon a day basically. To raise awareness and to help those veterans and first responders in need. This video is a short story about William's current status in life and what he is looking forward to.
